My work day today: shredding and scanning documents while listening to FOI. Thanks for saving me from a boredom shame spiral.

Hi Ladies. I loved Salt. I hope there will be Salt 2 in the future. I agree we need more women action stars. I just went to Prince of Persia, and I loved it the first time I saw it, when it was called Hamlet. All kidding aside, in the movie, the Princess was an awesome intelligent and important character. Did you also notice that Patrick Stewart,( who played the evil uncle King) was robbed of his emmy for Hamlet? I need to get a copy of that as it also stars David Tennant as Hamlet. Ahhhh.. David Tennant or as he is known to me, the best Dr.Who who ever was and ever will be. Anything that helps women to be less harrassed in this world is such a good thing and thanks for getting the word out. Have you gone viral? MOM

At the risk of derailing this thread, I have to jump in to tell Vivian that I have seen the David Tennant-Patrick Stewart Hamlet and it is scenery-chewing goodness. The director did some interesting things with the staging and filming, and Tennant basically went all out on the cray-cray.

Back on topic, saw Salt last weekend and really really enjoyed myself. Great popcorn action movie with the added bonus of not having to cringe or eye-roll because whatever woman is handy is being objectified.

    **SPOILER**
What do we think of the scene close to the end where Evelyn does finally use her feminine wiles but is (a) still kind of in man-drag and (b) playing on the just-revealed “we were children together, comrade” sentimentality for the past?
