Episode #8 – Jump the Queue
-Double Rainbow: the video, the guy, the phenomenon. What does it mean? [Cynara's disclaimer: when she says "expressionism" she means "romanticism.]
-Work of Art: Cynara is caught up on the series, so we talk about it again. What kind of art does this show privelege? And also, have you noticed the show is obsessed with the attractiveness of the women participating in it?
-Inception: Part one of our review/discussion. What we talk about in this episode is relatively spoiler-free and focuses on general ideas and also the hotness of the cast (especially the obvious — Michael Caine). So unless you are a huge spoiler-phobe, you can listen to this episode without seeing the movie (provided you are planning on seeing the film at a later date).
Stay tuned for episode 8.5 where we will go all-out spoiler and geek on Inception. It’llĀ be posted tomorrow.

1) When the sartorially elegant JGL in all his coolness and the nobody-knows-how-to-rock-jeans-and-a-t-shirt-cool-girl-next-door-that-really-likes-you-but-kind-of-wants-to-just-hang-out-at-the-vintage-clothing-store-right-now-because-her-boyfriend-that-works-at-Shoppers-Drug-Mart-and-drives-an-Audi-is-picking-her-up-at-midnight-but-that’s-cool-hey-you-know-what-why-don’t-you-come-to-the-party-with-us-I-think-he’d-like-you Ellen Page in all her splendidness appeared on screen together in the office Escher staircase scene, I had to apologize to the person next to me for the sudden burst of stickiness on the floor. Because I spilled my coke.
2) Imagine what a conversation between Ken Watanabe and Michael Caine would be like. In my dreams, it’s like Moses talking to God. It doesn’t matter who’s who.
3) I really can’t imagine a better cast, nor anyone else playing any of these roles.
4) Winnipeg more of a Sorcerer’s Apprentice kind of town.
5)Ellen Page.
I’m in love with your podcast and keep on forgetting to tell you both. So stupid of me.
I really want to hear what you have to say about fatness and fat on “Work of Art.” In particular Mark and Nao as artists and fatties. And Miles. SO much about Miles.
